Since 1983, the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival has showcased more than 6,000 films and digital media works by Asian and Pacific Islander artists, making it the largest festival of its kind in Southern California and a premier platform for Asian Pacific cinema. The festival also serves as an Academy Award®-qualifying event for short films, with Golden Reel Award recipients eligible to submit to the Animated or Live-Action Short Film categories at the Academy Awards®.
